Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein

KALEN Human OxLDL^TM

KALEN Human OxLDL is purified human LDL (d=1.019 – 1.063 g/mL),oxidized with copper (II)sulfate, purified, ultrafiltered and packaged aseptically under nitrogen. The product is provided in a solution with 154 mM NaCl and 0.34 uM EDTA,pH 7.2,at a protein concentration of 1 mg/mL. Purity is assessed by agarose gel electrophoresis.

Because Kalen has developed strict manufacturing protocols and QC tests, our lipoproteins are the same high quality from lot to lot (see figure at right).

KALEN Human OxLDL is stable for over two months because of our superior manufacturing protocols. So, you can conduct your experiments on your schedule.

Results of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and relative electrophoertic mobility (REM) as compared with native LDL.
Values were determined for multiple preparations of KALEN Human OxLDL stored at 4°C.

To demonstrate the stability of KALEN Human OxLDL, material was stored at 4°C and then tested at intervals for the level of oxidation (figure below left), protein content (figure below right), and relative electrophoretic mobility (data not shown). The results of all three test methods demonstrate the stability of KALEN Human OxLDL for over 3 months.
